haha, okay i'm being lame.
was just trying to make my dog do some silly stuff
due to pure boredness.

MY,
haven't been attending church for 2 weeks.
feels kinda weird.
i miss the peeps there, atmosphere, catering,
trees, fish pond and so on lahs! haha(:
ohh wells.

no, the reason for me missing church so long
is not because i'm backslidding.. heh.
it's because i have feeling unwell and weak.
went to see the doctor recently
and took a blood test.
results showed that i'm actually anaemic(low red blood count).
which explains why i have been feeling so lethargic and all..
guess all these could be due to the treatment.
most probably may be going for blood transfusion
to strengthen myself.

argh,
so that means i have to brace myself
for more poking. =(
so i really need your prayers, guys!

sat afternoon life and cell-group was simply great.

catering was good too.

i brought my youngest brother along
with me to church!

i'm back again after a.. well..
looong 'vacation' at the hospital.
frankly speaking, i dread the hospital
big time!
it's like living in.. can i say jail?
haha, okay maybe it's not that bad.
it's like my second home right now.

korean drama series 'Full House'..
it's nice and hilarious.
actually, Rain is cute lahs..

well, she's now back in melbourne
for her studies.

'TAKE MY SON'

This is great, take a moment to read it,
it will make your day!
The ending will surprise you.

A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art.
They had everything in their collection,
from Picasso to Raphael.
They would often sit together and
admire the great works of art.
When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war.
He was very courageous
and died in battle while rescuing another soldier.

The father was notified and
grieved deeply for his only son.
About a month later, just before Christmas,
there was a knock at the door.

A young man stood at the door
with a large package in his hands.
He said, "Sir, you don't know me,
but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life.
He saved many lives that day,
and he was carrying me to safety
when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly.
He often talked about you, and your love for art."
The young man held out this package.
"I know this isn't much. I'm not really a great artist,
but I think your son would have wanted you to have this."

The father opened the package.
It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man.
He stared in awe at the way the soldier
had captured the personality of his son in the painting.
The father was so drawn to the eyes that
his own eyes welled up with tears.
He thanked the young man
and offered to pay him for the picture.
"Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me. It's a gift."
The father hung the portrait over his mantle.

Every time visitors came to his home
he took them to see the portrait of his son
before he showed them any of the
other great works he had collected.
The man died a few months later.

There was to be a great auction of his paintings.
Many influential people gathered,
excited over seeing the great paintings and
having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection. On the platform sat the painting of the son.
The auctioneer pounded his gavel.
"We will start the bidding with this picture of the son.
Who will bid for this picture?"

There was silence.

Then a voice in the back of the room shouted,
"We want to see the famous paintings.
Skip this one."

But the auctioneer persisted.

"Will somebody bid for this painting.
Who will start the bidding? $100, $200?"
Another voice angrily.

"We didn't come to see this painting.
We came to see the Van Goghs, the Rembrandts.
Get on with the real bids!"

But still the auctioneer continued.

"The son! The son! Who'll take the son?"

Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room.
It was the longtime gardener of the man and his son.

"I'll give $10 for the painting."

Being a poor man, it was all he could afford.

"We have $10, who will bid $20?"
"Give it to him for $10. Let's see the masters."
"$10 is the bid, won't someone bid $20?"

The crowd was becoming angry.
They didn't want the picture of the son.
They wanted the more
worthy investments for their collections.
The auctioneer pounded the gavel.

"Going once, twice, SOLD for $10!"

A man sitting on the second row shouted,

"Now let's get on with the collection!"

The auctioneer laid down his gavel.

"I'm sorry, the auction is over."
"What about the paintings?" "I am sorry.
When I was called to conduct this auction,
I was told of a secret stipulation in the will.
I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this time.
Only the painting of the son would be auctioned.
Whoever bought that painting
would inherit the entire estate,
including the paintings.

The man who took the son gets everything!"

God gave His son 2,000 years ago
to die on the cross.

Much like the auctioneer,
His message today is:

negative feelings begin to

on God cos that's the

i really thank God for xinyan lahs(:
she encouraged me deeply
by showing me something in the Bible.
something that struck a chord
in my heart.

Jesus experienced all the hassles
and trials of life but always went along

imagine this.

unfortunately, it clashes with your service
at church.

God sometimes allows us to be tempted
to test our trust in Him but He would never
deceive us into doing wrong.
when trials and problems come your way,
do you continue to place your trust in Him?
knowing God knows what's best for you?

the problem occurs because God gave us
minds that are free to make choices.
He didn't wants us to be mindless robots
programmed to carry out His wishes.
He made us so we could choose to obey Him.

MISSION TRIPPERS are back!
Went to airport to welcome them back!
Everyone had a BIG letter pasted on their backs.
We would form one loong row
and form the sentence that says
‘WELCOME BACK NISSI 3’
SO COOL.
We were even blocking other ppl’s view
that we got shouted at!
Haha.
We didn’t really care cos we were just TOO
excited to see people of God coming out!
It was as if we were awaiting the arrival
of some kind of big superstar! Haha.

After what semed like an eternity,
they finally came into view!
It was an emotional moment
as some ppl started crying
upon seeing them!
then it was embracing of hugs
here and there.

Saturday is 2 days away!
Cant wait for them to join us back
for church!
Cant wait to hear their mighty
and powerful testimonies!

this is a story i stumbled upon
which i found interesting and meaningful. . <=

There once was a bunch of tiny frogs
who arranged a running competition.
The goal was to reach the top of a very high tower .
A big crowd had gathered around the tower
to see the race and cheer on the contestants...

The race began... Honestly...
No one in the crowd really believed that
the tiny frogs would reach the top of the tower.
You heard statements such as:
"Oh, WAY too difficult !!! " They will NEVER make it to the top!!!"
or:"Not a chance that they will succeed. The tower is too high!!!"

The tiny frogs began collapsing.
One by one...
Except for those, who in a fresh tempo,
were climbing higher and higher...
The crowd continued to yell,
"It is too difficult!!! No one will make it!!!"

More tiny frogs got tired and gave up...

But ONE continued higher and higher and higher...

This one wouldn't give up!!!

At the end everyone else had given up climbing the tower.

Except for the one tiny frog who, after a big effort,
was the only one who reached the top!
THEN all of the other tiny frogs
naturally wanted to know how this one frog managed to do it?
A contestant asked the tiny frog how he had
found the strength to succeed and reach the goal?

It turned out...That the winner was DEAF!!!

The wisdom of this story is:
NEVER listen to other people's tendencies
to be negative or pessimistic!
Because they take your most
wonderful dreams and wishes away from you...
the ones you have in your heart!!!
Always think of the power words have .

Because everything you hear and read
will affect your actions!!!

Therefore:ALWAYS be...POSITIVE!!!

And above all:Be DEAF when people tell YOU
that you can not fulfill your dreams!!!

Always think:God and I can do this!!!

Don't tell GOD how BIG your storm is.

joy was really overflowing with

we exchanged thanksgiving presents too!

i got two presents!

my brother got this pink,

me and vicky were like squealing

saturday night life-

it was still as COOL as ever.
all of us were really overflowing
with joy to be in the house of the Lord!
praise and worship was strong and powerful!

Ps Daniel spoke on gentleness.
that made me brood over it.
and tugged at my heartstrings.
i guess i was guilty of
some of the things i have done.
from now onwards,
i have to learnt how to have
strength under control!

cell group-

it was simply great.
60 plus of us packed into
the 2nd floor of church.
what stood before me was really a miracle.
i still could remember the 1st
time i came for cell-group.
it was less than 15 people?
this led me to think God is really faithful
and has really bless us ALOT.
i hope the next time we have combined
cell meetings, there will be not enough space
for everyone to sit!

ok, it was thanksgiving time.
everyone had the chance
to speak into the mike and
express a few words of gratitude.
due to time constraint, we did not
have the time finish thanking all the people
we wanna thank cos there's so many
of them!

yesterday i went for doctor's appointment.
everything went well.
but im just sooo impatient
waiting for my turn!

after that,
made a trip to thong chai
medical institution.
woah~ the smell of chinese herbs
was hanging so strongly in the air.

yups went to consult the physician
and then waited at the dispensary
for my medicine..
for ur information,
there is no need to pay for
consultation and medicine fee!
cool huh?

jus then..
one well-built guy confronted one
of the frail old man stationed
at the dispensary side, giving out
chinese herbs..
the guy's face was dark with rage.
then he said sth like' y is my medicine
taking so long?! u want orh bah kak izzit?'

sth like challenging the old man..
everyone as like stunned at staring at him.
later, a woman found out
that his medicine as lying on the table
all the while. -.-''

that teaches us to check things
out carefully b4 accusing ppl.

yesterday we just celebrated
teachers day.
a day of joy,laughter
and happiness -..

kickstarted with the ACES workout.
people started scrambling around
pulling teachers to join in
boy, were they shy..
haha then proceeded
to the hall for
the next part of the
celebration..
yes, about 500 odd
people crammed into the hall.
beads of perspiration were
formed on all of our foreheads.

we welcomed the teachers as
if they were some kind of
big star.hahax..
we were all screaming our
heads off..
the beaming faces on the teachers
tells it all.

after the whole thingy,
we headed down to the canteen
and threw a party for
our dear teachers.
haha the teachers' faces
were all stained with
blobs of choc cake..
we were also not spared.

Tossing on the bed to the right

I clutched my tummy and
squirm uncomfortably in my bed.
This tummyache is practically killing me!

Woah,i can tell you that whole night
was just plain terrible for me.
It's like having needles poking on you non-stop.(well,kinda)
Basically,it's just ugh!

And all of a sudden,
i just puked.Gross.
i kept praying desperately but to no avail.

Went to see the doctor
and he said i ate something unhygenic.
Cracked my brain but couldn't figure it out.
He prescribed me some medicine
and yeah, felt tons better after that.

Yupp,so my point is..
When we don't get instant answers to our prayers
it's tempting to stop talking to God.
However,unless God has said no to our requests
we need to keep praying.
When Jesus said"Ask and it shall be given to you",
the meaning is"ask and keep asking"
Don't think that prayer is battering on the gates
of heaven to get our own way.
Often God uses prayer to teach us how to fall
in line with His plans.

If the request is wrong-God says NO!
If the timing is wrong-God says SLOW!
If you are wrong-God says GROW!
But if the request is right,the timing is right
and you are right-God says GO!

The day i was born! at that time, I was still undergoing treatment in the hospital..
Nevertheless, my cell-grp friends came and sprang a surprise for me, making me feel so loved and blessed! And there Huijin was, snapping away photos of me and the rest.. Boy, do i feel like a superstar.

But the star of the night was really my Jesus.

HeYs.. Jus gOt Back home from outing..

Today seemed to be full of events.. in the morning, i went to see the doctor n had to settle a few stuffs.. before that, i had to go for a x-ray.. err.. so sian diao..
the queue to see the doctor was jus so long.. argh~ i had to wait n wait n wait.. nv mind.. patience is a virtue..brr.. the doctor said i had to undergo op next wednesday.. i was lik 'so fast?'.. well,i will jus leave everything to God n trust in Him..i hope everything will go smoothly bahx..

after that,i went out wif Pastor Daniel,zhenn,jaslyn,cherie,wanping,huijin,shu en,sly,kong an and kong shen.. hahaz.. it was so farnie..yupp.. we went to many places but too bad i couldn't get to play para para..nv mind.. i still had loads of fun.! thank u P.Daniel n everyone else..!!

hmph~ yesterday, cell group n nite life was not bad.. over 200 girl and boy brigaders attended nite-life.. woah.. n that's alot of them.. it was kind of crammed but everything still went well.. i could feel the exitement crackling in the air..

after that,we went to macdonalds to hav our dinner..yummy.. my favourite.. then pastor Daniel kept talking pimples n i duno y.. he dabbed the fry into the sauce n mayonaise n told us tis is how it looks like when a pimple is being squeezed.. all of us of cos wrinkle our nose in disgust n felt like puking.. esp weiwei..hahax.. She n zhenn got hyper-active all of sudden.. n stared to scream thier heads off.. err.. they made quite a scene.. but it was so farnie..overall,we sure had a fun time together..

yeah.. few days ago,i went for a scan for my leg whereby they place u inside a 'tunnel'..for about 1 hour? but it took longer than i thought.. cos i kept jerking my leg(guess i was nervous) and as a results,the pictures were sort of blurry.. so they had to repeat the scan again n again..sian diao..after that, i went to see the doctor n he compared tis scan wif my previous scan.. n guess wat? he said the tumour has actually became much more smaller! Thank God..!! i hope i will be good testimony for HIM!!

'u hav to be admitted to hospital again for a week n unfortunately, u will not be able to celebrate chinese new year.. 'the doctor said.. tis words hit mi lik a ton of bricks..hai.. i hav to continue my next round of treatment..i guess there's no other choices..hope tt i will still be able to receive hongbaos.. hees..do i sound too greedy?=p..i am changing my ward 2.. :/ sometimes i ask myself y? y did tis happen to mi?then i hear a voice telling mi,'u will be a gd testimony tt no one has and the works of God may be carried out thru you..' And i will be able to see more salvation..even though sumtimes i cant feel Him,i jus noe He is there..showering care n love on me..i wonder wat i will be in tis time of period without God.. i will be so lost.. n depressed.. God has given mi a hope in my life,makin me more determined to fight my illness.. All i noe tat God has a great plan for us.. But how long will tis go on? i jus hope when i wake up 1 day,everything will be over..=D

[HeY HeYz] 1st time creating blog.. with the help of Cherie n Guizhen.. Thx a lot man.. Heex.. well.. today went for cell-group and snl.. wahh.. so long neva go already lor..hahx.. so paiseh lehx.. i went there in a wheelchair.. very guai rite? heex..thank God tt my parents allowed mi to go..even though they were a bit worried bout mi..Was a lil bit tired..but i hav enjoyed myself!Hmph.. i feel deeply touched for those ppl who have shown mi so much concern n care..tankz a million.. i realli appreciate it.. really thankful towards mie cell group mates for being there for mi.. taking ur time n effort to come to the hospital to visit mi..=DAm i being too mushy? dont get goosebumps hor.. heex..well..i hope a miracle will happen..n more souls will be saved.. hopefully, i will be a good testimony!To glorify God's name..hope tt the whole process of treatment will be over soon.. n i need not face the ceiling of the hospital ward again..hees..i will try my best to persevere n stay positive!Yea!=P
